Vintage Tilghman MD Oyster Can Packing Co House Black Americana String Holder

VINTAGE TILGHMAN OYSTER/SEAFOOD PACKING CO. BLACK AMERICANA STRING HOLDER, TILGHMAN ISLAND, MD. Here is a VERY RARE piece of Original Vintage Oyster Advertising Memorabilia from Tilghman Island, Maryland. This is a piece of Vintage Pottery or Bisque Black Americana String Holder marked with Tilghman Pkg Co. Can't say that I have ever saw one before, but this is an advertising piece from the Tilghman Island Packing Co.

The same company that advertised with the Til-Made Mermaid Paperweight. The Tilghman Packing Company was founded by Harrison Brothers Oyster Company as an Oyster Shucking House and Seafood Wharf on Tilghman Island in 1897. This great old piece of Oyster or Seafood Advertising is in Great Condition. No chips, cracks, maybe a bit of crazing on the bottom. The paint is pretty much intact with just a few flecks missing. Nothing very noticeable in my opinion. The String Holder measures 6 1/4" in height, 3 1/4" in width and 3 in depth.
