Vintage Shabby 1930s Black Americana Sambo Lawn Water Sprinkler Original

Offered is this vintage Black Americana figural lawn water sprinkler. Appears to be in original, untouched and used condition.

Original paint is faded and worn. Original white rubber dot eyes. The water hose has become dry-rotted so would need replaced if going to use for original purpose.

But if using as a decorative piece, I think this adds to the charm of this unique item. Base swivels and the arm holding the hose was originally intended to swirl and spray all around, due to the pressure of the water in the hose. Possibly a Sprinkling Sambo attributed to The Firestone Tire & Rubber Company and made during the 1930's era. Figure is made of wood and is solid, with no rot.

Base has some numbers stamped into the metal. The wooden figure is 26" tall and including the metal base and stake it is 40" tall overall. Please ask any questions needed; I will try to answer your inquiries as well as I can.
