Vintage NICOLETTA POLI'Black Dogs Playing in the Water' PROVINCETOWN Painting
This is just a great original piece. Nicoletta Poli is an artist I have known for a while as I almost bought one of her paintings a few years ago. A very well known Provincetown artist whose paintings of dogs are collected throughout the world, she was recently the subject of an exhibition by the Bakker Project on Provincetown. This painting is the style and subject that the collectors seem to want most. This is a wonderful view of a pair of black dogs playing in the water off Provincetown. Watercolor on paper measuring 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches. Painting is in perfect as painted condition. Original double matte and gold frame are complimentary and ready to hang. On the back of the frame is the original Poli Gallery label as well as an inscription of Congratulations and Best Wishes from 2002. It is signed and all in the artist's hand. Really a wonderful work that the artist felt good enough to give as a gift to someone. Really a wonderful complete package and one of the better original Poli paintings you are going to find.
