The vintage fold a-way theater comes with three plays entitled Little Black Sambo, Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella. The Little Black Sambo portion of this toy theatre is an outstanding and scarce Black Americana collectible. Instructions for setting up the fold a-way theatre are printed on the outside of the envelope that holds all the contents.

The contents are: curtain, backdrops, scenery, wings, costumes, fold a-way toy characters and dialogues for the three plays listed above. This vintage miniature toy theater was made by Fold-A-Way Products in 1934 (which is printed on the envelope). The outside envelope measures 17 ½L and 11 H. All the characters, scenery and accessories are printed using gorgeous colors on heavy cardboard and are die cut. The scenery with trees is partially punched out on one side. One small area of the trees (right middle) is peeling. And one corner (top right) of the scenery is damaged. Each tri-fold page contains a script and is filled with colorful artwork of characters, scenery, and accessories. All pages are in their original uncut condition.
