This small 8" by 10" Acrylic Painting on artist board is titled on the back, by the artist, Bon Fire. May has also written a story about this painting which reads. When we was young we love to see the bon fires on the levee.

My brothers would catch drift wood to build a stack for the bon fire. I'm in red the fifth of nine children. My mother is in blue.

The fire had to be lit before dark. This authentic May Kugler Painting is in perfect condition and it comes in the original 12 3/4" by 15 3/4" distressed wood frame.
