Vintage Ambrotype Willie Lincoln 1855 Photography
Vintage Ambrotype Willie Lincoln 1855 is in pretty rough condition, box is intact but no binding left, picture under glass is separating, you can still see the image, it's a large one measuring 3 1/2 inches wide by 4 inches tall, which is large by standards back then with most being about 2 inches square, so all the hallmarks are there I've seen were this could have been a reprint of the original it says Willie Lincoln on it, I've had this to a museum in Florida but couldn't get much info except how much it costs for them to appraise it, and restore it, this among alot of other tintypes, ambrotypes have been in my family since I can remember, I have many of my ancestors but this one and a couple other ones struck me as not family but who knows, lol, anyway, I'm open to any ideas, suggestions, offers anything will help if I'm not accurate on my description, this doesn't appear to be a daguerrtype, or tintype, seems to fit an ambrotype, it's in the right Era, Willie was born in 1850 and died in 1862, this picture is of him about 4 or 5 years old, so any questions feel free to ask.
