Unusual Creepy Antique Tintype Photo Black Face Man Holding Dog French Bulldog

Here is a very strange, original tintype photo, showing a man. Possibly the minstrel performer Lew Dockstader. Looks like a French Bulldog. But I'm not positive. The man also has large portrait of a woman on his jacket. Not sure what to make of it, but there you go. Tintype measures 3.5 x 2.5. It has some light bends and light surface wear but is in overall very good or better antique condition, as shown.
