Original late-1860s/early-1870s tintype photo of two Junior Firemen in Uniform and helmets and another boy sponsor or brother? Their jerseys have an "SC", their helmets say "Torch 1" surrounded by flames. The #1 is also on their belt buckles. The object above their heads is not a UFO.. It's a rarely seen photographer's tool, a skylight diffuser, used for softening the light coming in from above.
About 4" x 2.25". Very good antique condition overall with normal light bends throughout.
