Presented for your consideration is this rare cigar store statue. The statue is made entirely of carved, lightweight wood and features an African-American man wearing a red suit coat. He has carved shoes and a carved hat sits on top of his head.

He is holding some kind of object in his hand but unsure as to what it is, possibly a pouch of tobacco. Nice, intricate detailing is present throughout the statue.

This very hard to find cigar store statue would make a great addition to any folk art, Black Americana or mercantile memorabilia collection! There is a split in the middle of the front of the statue. Some splitting is present around the base as well. Wood shows some signs of dryness and the paint has some wear.
