To see my son's old books. It does have its title page. -New York, R H Russell. Illustrated 29 large engravings-printed on one side only. All back sides are blank.

If you google --plantation sketches campbell - scroll down a bit and you will see "digitalcollections. Org" - they have the full book posted. Fishing, orphans, flirtations, watermelons, southern Valentine, the gospel, dixieland, "the march of intellect" - kids with their school books, breaking home ties and several more.

There is also one with a kid in a tree and a white man with a whip coming up! All of my books are over 100 years old and have 100+ years of wear.

This is hardcover with a paper picture laid over. Text block and covers secure.

Back board looks good with just 2 rather small scratches - but very clean for its age. Pages are generally all very clean with jus a few minor spots.

#'s written on first picture [at the bottom - see 2nd picture]. There are some rips, most under 1.5, in the gutter area - all have been taped with doc.

There is a 2" rip and a 3" rip as well. One page with a very small pin-hole [shown with orange paper -picture #10]. Library blindstamp to the title page and only 1 plate [see last picture - it is very hard to see it -piece of paper next to it].

No other library markings - spine, endpapers, or otherwise - I promise! Overall -very good for it's age. A NICE ONE FOR YOU COLLECTION! Please Add me to your Favorites list. AND check back now and then to see what's new!

Otherwise I can't send you a new invoice. Don't panic, I will get to ASAP. T can take up to 14 days to get back East. All others please contact me.

This book is very old and. May have accumulated bad smells along the way [musty basement/ mildew/ smoke].

Dryer sheets in them for a few months makes a world of difference! My nose doesn't work like it use to. So the old book smell doesn't bother me. As far as I can tell -this book smells fine.
