Uncommon if not rare Carte de visita cdv photograph showing an African-American soldier leading Jeff Davis of the CSA into the gallows at "Hotel De Monroe". The image mocks Davis wearing a dress which was a misconception when he was actually captured.

He actually was wearing a raglan overcoat and his wife's shawl. In any case this a cdv photograph that I have seen one other time in 40 years. Excellent addition to any serious collection.
