Rare African American Photographer Jp Ball, Black Rev. Cb Allen Helena Montana
Very rare original cabinet card of Reverend C. Allen, pastor of the 1st Baptist Church of Helena, Montana, photographed by the pioneering black photographer James Presley Ball & Son's Helena, Montana studio. Reverend Allen was the only black clergyman in Helena during the 1880s and 1890s. On the back is some old writing, looks like #3216 Germantown Ave, below Rising Sun Lane, Philadelphia, Pa. Cabinet card is 6.5" x 4.25" and in good antique condition, as shown.
