Rare 1897 Game Of In Dixie Land Cards No. 1118 Fireside Black Americana Antique

For your consideration is this rare antique 123 year old black americana card game called In Dixie-Land. It is game number 1118, copyrighted 1897, by The Fireside Game Co. This highly collectable scarce game is 100% complete! The box displays great even though it is missing one long edge to the box top. The box bottom is fully intact.

The instructions are on the inside of the box top. All 52 of the playing cards are present with suits from A1 to A4 through M1 to M4.

It also retains the crown card which functions as a wild card for a total of all 53 cards. The only card with some creases is the Crown Card otherwise all the other cards are all excellent condition with no rips or creases. It looks like this game wasnt played with too much.

It is a trick-taking card game where players call for cards to try to complete books. Each of the 52 playing cards contain photo-gravures of African American people in the American Deep South from the late 1800s, with captions beneath each photo. Please ask if you have any additional questions.
