Original Stevens Always Did Spise A Mule Cast Iron Bank Rare Black Americana
Up for sale is this rare yellow base version of the J. Stevens "Always Did Spise A Mule" mechanical bank. A cross collectible for both those who collect Black Americana as well as those who focus on mechanical banks. The bank does work, but I had to use something to pull back the clip to re-seat the jockey, I've never had one of these so I'm not sure how common that is. This is fresh out of a Boston estate, and I have not attempted to clean it at all, as evidenced by the pockets of dust in the crevices.
