Century cast iron Groom weighing 180 pounds and in the day a hitching post for horses. This looks to have been modified and repainted at sometime in the past. No rust is showing at all that I can see.
The Groom's right hand has a painted pipe with a wire coming out the bottom.. May have had an electric lantern there at onetime. Originally there was a bracket to tie the reins of the horse on his right hand. Overall height with the bale of hay is 43" and the Groom himself is 36"..
The cotton bale he stands on is 15" x 15" square and 7 high. In other words the winner will pay for the statue immediately and pay the shipper/packager separately. We have company's in Los Angeles that do this so it should be easy enough to find a good one at a reasonable price.
