Late 19th, Early 20th Photo/Print African American Man / Bubble Convex Glass. I have a large collection of African American antique photos. This is one of the most unusual and handmade presentation I have ever seen. It was difficult to photograph without the glare because of the bubble glass, my apologies, just not that good of a photographer. It has a tin frame perfectly aged, beat up, and completely intact.
Some staining, dents to the frame, crudeness to the way the matting was cut or torn. But all of these flaws in my opinion are what separates it from from other presentations of persons living at that time. Truly a one of a kind piece. I assure you it presents so much better than my photographs do. This is a unique piece. It tells a story through the subjects facial expression and completely authentic presentation.
