Jumbo Dixie Brand Salted Peanuts Store Display Tin, Outrageous Black Man Image

This is a complete and original large store display tin that measures an impressive 10 tall and 8.25 across and originally held 10 pounds of salted peanuts. The colorful tin features identical images on both the front and back panels of a black man with an oversized peanut in his mouth. The tin is in overall good condition (grade 7+) with scattered wears and scuffing, minor denting, and speckling of the red background paint. The colors are quite strong nice tin for display.

The bottom is solid and rust free. Tin is complete with its original matching lid.

Tough to find in any condition, and this one looks good on the shelf. Classic advertising piece from a less-informed period of Americas history, offered with no reserve. Please see my other auctions for several other scarce and early advertising tins.
