CREAM OF WHEAT CEREAL BOWL SPIRIT OF ST LOUIS CHEF BLACK AMERICANA 6 Inch

After May 1927, when Charles Lindbergh flew across the Atlantic Ocean, Cream of Wheat cereal honored him and his plane - The Spirit of St Louis, with this bowl. It was to inspire young kids to eat their Cream of Wheat cereal, to grow up strong & healthy and do great things like Lindbergh!

86 years later, you can own this fablous vintage ceramic bowl! This bowl measures approximately 6 1/4 inches in diameter across the top and about 1 1/2 inches tall/deep. The inside of the bowl has underglaze decoration involving the Spirit of St Louis airplane and Chef Rastus holding a bowl of Cream of Wheat.

The underside of the bowl is marked as shown in the photos above, with Trade Mark Reg. If you collect aviation, Black Amerciana, Advertising, or cereal items, this item is a must have! Though it has some crazing and some "lovingly enjoyed" scratches - can you really afford to wait to find a "perfect, unused" bowl?

Not many of these out there after kids used them and after 86 years.
