CIVIL WAR Black Americana Dancing Jigger Minstrel Wood 1864 Clough & Burrell's

Clough & Burrell's August 9 th 1864 Patented Black Americana Minstrel Jig Dancer. Base is 7 1/4 x 3 1/2. Paddle is 7 3/4 x 3 3/4 - split in wood and 1 nail missing on the patent plate. Minstrel Jig is 9 1/2 tall x 2 wide x 1 1/2 deep -- Original paint in fantastic condition! Hand painted facial features also in fantastic shape, little red spot missing on right lower lip. Face at one time the glue must have dried out and someone re-glued it , not too well as it is offset a little. I don't think the wood was broken as the entire front of the face equally was separated, as if it was a separate piece glued onto the base head form. A small chip of edge wood missing upper left side of face- can be seen in photo.

Nonetheless- For an item this old- In very very nice condition! Trade Mark of Horse & Buggy - Medals 29 Diplomas Award, Clough & Burrell's 1864. Rare item that will not be seen again- If ever!
