C. 1910's Ferdinand Strauss Tombo The Alabama Coon Jigger Litho Tin Windup Toy

Offered for sale is this wonderful example of a "Tombo The Alabama Coon Jigger" tin litho wind-up toy, patented in 1910 & 1918 and manufactured by Ferdinand Strauss Inc. The piece measures about 10 1/4 tall and is in very nice condition: the colors and the detail of the graphics and lithography are excellent and there is no damage to the tinplate other than some light scuffing and play wear. It retains 99%+ of its original finish, and the mechanism is strong and works as it should (though probably not as vigorously as it might have when new): wind him up, hit the on switch, and Tombo rotates and performs a little dance on the roof. It's hard to find this piece is this condition at this price, so don't pass it up.
