There are two attached tabs that allow for the base to be bolted to a concrete pad or similar installation. The surfaces of the Groom and Bale show rust, pitting, and natural weathering. There is a small area on its right side neck that has a silver colored material unsure of its origin, but the section appears to be intact. The vintage of the blue and white paint is unknown, but it appears to have been applied a while ago.

No cleaning or attempt to remove surface rust has been attempted.
