Offered is a 19th century cast iron Black Americana Lawn Jockey/Groom Hitching Post statue in excellent condition. The piece has been previously professionally restored, sandblasted and powder coated in a black base finish. The detail work was all hand done in oil base outdoor paint. If someone wanted to touch it up, all that is necessary is to light sand and repaint. It is in perfect condition, especially for it's age with no cracks, repairs, or issue. He stands 43 tall on a bale of hay! He originally came from a Greenwich, CT estate.
