Beautiful Black Americana Advertising for Green River Whiskey. This piece you can tell it was not left by the window and did not loose its colors, it was very much chariest. I bought it from a private home from a lady maybe she was about 70, that told me her dad took it from a hotel in the 1960, s after having to many drinks, and was to embarrass to return it, and really did not remember at what hotel it was.
The only spot missing paint, is at the back top ear, there is a very little spot at the tip of the horses ear that has no paint. The horse is brown and black.
The saddle has a light green to it, with an umbrella. The jug has a very light green to it with the writing (Green River-The Whiskey without Regrets) The Black man, s top hat and jacket is of a black and brown mixed color.
The man, s vest has a nice green to it. You can see his black eyes and a little red on his tongue. At the back of the horse, there is a small drop of grey paint of the horses neck. The writing GREEN RIVER in front is of a grey color. On the top base are lovely colors of green with a light yellow. At one end of the sign, and its hard to see it says (American Art Novel) and on the right end it says Oldetyme Distillers Inc.
New York NY Only when I look closely, I can see little crackling throughout the advertising piece. From the top hat to the bottom base is 25cm (9 1/2 inches) tall.Thank You for your time.
