Antique / Vintage Black Americana Bellhop and Mammy Composition Dolls

Antique / Vintage Black Americana Bellhop and Mammy Composition Dolls. These dolls are made with a composition head / bust and hands with cloth, sawdust filled bodies. These dolls are dressed in 1920's era attire, The Bellhop, who is approximately 16 in length is clad in his red bellboy uniform and cap. Mammy, who is approximately 14 in length, is clad in an ivory colored ruffle dress.

The bellboy has a slight gap between his pants and jacket in each side at the waist where the cloth underneath can be seen. I did not attempt to adjust them for fear of damage.

Mammy's dress has discolored with age. Please see all photos to further evaluate condition. These dolls were acquired from the estate of a collector from Syracuse, New York who had amassed a huge amount of Black Americana memorabilia.
