Antique USA Cast Iron Lawn Jockey Statue Hitching Post
I have owned this original cast iron Jockey since 1982 (It was old then) and I have finally decided to either refinish him or sell him like he is. The "Jockey" was originally patented by Robert Wood and Company of Philadelphia, PA. If you are reading this you probably know that general production ended around 1913, and most of them were melted down for the War effort. I believe the biggest collection is still on the steps of the 21 Club in New York. 46 inches tall Weight 170 LBS????
So if you want a real, original piece of Americana, and not an aluminum reproductionthis is your opportunity. I will personally deliver this in the south Florida area Miami to the Palm. The screw that holds the hitch might not be original. The item "ANTIQUE USA CAST IRON LAWN JOCKEY STATUE HITCHING POST" is in sale since Tuesday, December 17, 2019.
