It depicts a circa-1920s farmer's log cabin farm. In the backyard the farmer's wife is feeding some chickens and in the front yard he is loading up an oxen cart while his two children look on. Signed in the lower right hand corner, B. Robards" this painting comes in its original 4 5/8" by 7 ½ gold gilt frame. There is a pencil inscribed family note on the back of the painting that is difficult to read. Another owner has transcribed what it says. First gift of Walter before the congagement, sent from Fort Prince South Carolina. This small antique early 20.
