Pacific Auto Wrecking was owned by Morris Demsky, the grandfather of actor Kirk Douglas and the great-grandfather of Michael Douglas. Some of the photos have written notations on the front or back identifying people in the photos, etc. There's a photographer's stamp on the back of two of the 5x7 photos. One has a written note from Morris Demsky to Harry Demsky (Kirk Douglas' father).
One shows a sergeant from the Venice, California Police Department. Some great signs are visible in the photos. Also cars, tires, interesting people, etc.
2 are mounted on board. 9" tall x 13" wide. 7" tall x 10.75" wide. 5" tall x 7" wide. These are original antique photos (NOT modern reprints).
These photos are important pieces of Los Angeles history and invaluable to anyone interested in the history of the automobile or Kirk Douglas, Michael Douglas and their family. Ask all questions BEFORE making an offer or purchasing.
Please read the description & look at the photos.
