Hello, you are viewing my sale for an Antique Oil Painting on Canvas of a Portrait of a Black Man. My feeling is that he may have also been a Slave. This is a 1903 Signed and Dated oil painting by the artist CH Finke. I have shown the signature in my photographs. This painting weighs 1.2 pounds and measures 11" wide by 16" tall.
There is some wear to the canvas however there are no rips, tears, or repairs present. The details and expression throughout the mans face is stunning. The canvas is nailed to the stretcher.
