So check back to see other listings as I post them. It is guaranteed old and original. This is an early 1900s wooden display box for MASON'S CHALLENGE BLACKING. This is what you would see on the shelves of a country store 110 years ago. It held 36 tins of blacking that was for polishing and preserving shoe and boot leather.
It measures approximately 12X9X3 inches. This is a nice piece of black Americana and d. Original wire hinge works well.
The back lithograph is in excellent and bright condition and 100% intact. The front lithograph is 98% intact and has nice colors but has some light scratches.
