Antique c1850s Daguerreotype Exotic Gypsy Immigrant Woman Holding Rosary Beads

Antique 19th century, c1850s, original 1/6th plate daguerreotype photograph depicting an amazing image of an exotic immigrant or gypsy woman. She is seated with an arm resting on a cloth covered surface and is clutching what appears to be rosary beads. She is wearing a great dress with either metal bracelets or intricate lace cuffs.

Protected behind glass in a brass mat and preserver. Provenance comes from an Athol, Massachusetts area estate. In Good/As Found overall condition. Exhibits moderate to heavy fogging to the plate. No wipes but does show a small abrasion at the base. The other visible abrasions/marks are on the glass as opposed to the plate. Still displays quite handsomely and a rare image to come by. Measures 3 1/4" x 2 3/4". Case measures 3 3/4" x 2 1/4".
