Antique Black Americana Memorabilia Folk Art Doll Civil War Era mid 1800's

Folk Art Doll Civil War Era Primitive Cotton Doll. This is in very good condition for it's age. Hand sewn stuffed cotton doll with horse hair and cotton dress.

The dress is sun bleached on the front, but in good condition overall. The dress does have more modern snaps on the back of the dress. She has on an underskirt, bloomers, and an apron. She has a stitch pull tear on the left shoulder, and some pulled stitching on the tips of the feet.

Very light pulled stitching on the fingers. Looks like there was a stitched mouth at one point, there is one small red thread still sticking out, but the main mouth is not there anymore. This is from a family estate in Clinton, NY with a 200 year history.
