UP FOR SALE IS THIS RARE, BLACK AMERICANA, COLD PAINTED CERAMIC POTTERY JOCKEY BOY STILL BANK. I COULD ONLY FIND ONE OTHER COMPARISON IN MY RESEARCH. IT WAS MADE IN THE 19TH CENTURY TO EARLY 20TH CENTURY, I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHO MADE IT DEFINITIVELY BUT IT LOOKS LIKE JOHANN MARESCH OR BERNARD BLOCH, IT IS VERY SIMILAIR TO THEIR FIGURAL TOBACCO JARS.
IT IS MARKED ON THE BASE WITH SOME MAKERS MARKS BUT I CAN'T IDENTIFY THEM. IT CAME OUT OF A LARGE ESTATE COLLECTION OF BLACK AMERICANA HERE IN MARYLAND.
IT IS IN GOOD CONDITION, NO CHIPS, CRACKS, ETC.. SOME NORMAL LIGHT EXPECTED WEAR TO THE PAINT.MEASURES- 4.5" Tall x 3.5" Wide.
