Hand written and printed on Velum this 1828 United States Land Grant, measures 9 ΒΌ" by 15 3/8". It is signed in the lower right hand corner J. President of The United States. In the lower left hand corner of this Land Grant is the Wax American Seal, protected by paper. There is one more feature of this early Land Grant. At the top it reads Whereas Caesar, Sewn, Venus, Harry, William, Cinthy, Nicy, Adam, Green and?? John Smith for his Freed Slaves. There is a piece of Velum missing from the upper right hand corner from the 1828 Land Grant. President John Quincy Adams signature is strong and no faded, plus the American Seal is still in very good condition. We are listing this 1828 Land Grant without any reserve.
