Amazing Rare Sealed Daguerreotype Woman Holding Tabby Cat Painted Gold Eye

Original 1/6 daguerreotype of a smiling woman holding a big cat! On the table next to her is a small stack of books and hand-tinted flowers. Her cat looks as if he's either trying to look back at her, or is being distracted by something off to the side, maybe the photographer's assistant. The woman's jewelry, and the cat's eye are hand painted gold! Dag is in its full, original case that is 3.75" x 3.25" when closed.

Appears to have its original, unbroken paper seals. Light fogginess is visible along the top of the image when held at a certain angle. No scratches, swipes, abrasions noted. The specks to the right of her hand is stuck to the underside of the glass... Probably bits of the paper seals.

The case is in excellent antique condition.
