DESCRIPTION: Authentic Black Americana Segregation era painted wood sign. This is an original estate item that came from a Birmingham, Alabama estate. It was probably used on a street trolley, bus or maybe to separate areas in a diner or restaurant. If you are the winner, I have a bit more provinance I can give you.
Wood sign is stencil painted "Black" on one side and "White" on the other. 2 metal prongs at the bottom where it was installed.
Great patina and the curved edges are soft and smooth from wear. This is the original finish and it is in "as is" condition. I didn't even wipe it off! SIZE: 23.5 x 7 x 5/8.
