DETAILS: Original cabinet card photograph of a young African American gentleman dressed in uniform. His hat has "NASH" written across the front. Note the white armband on his arm which typically denotes an unconditional surrender. Also note that he is wearing a button on his chest.

We believe that this may be some kind of political protest photo. Measures 6" x 7" inches. CONDITION: Please note that tear on the photo is on the albumen print itself from when it was originally developed. It is mainly cosmetic and is not in danger of tearing further.

One of the corners has broken off but the image itself is uneffected. Oxxbridge Galleries was founded in 1987 and specializes in vintage paper items with a large selection of historical and 19th Century tintypes, daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, cabinet cards, carte des visites and other types of early photography.
