19thC Antique American Folk Art Black Boy Shoe Shine Cast Iron Boot Scraper

Originally there would have been a stiff brush on either side of this 19th century Boot Scraper held in place with the large side screws. This would allow you to brush off the mud and dust off the sides of your shoes while scraping the bottom. Measuring 10 ½" by 12 ¾" the scalloped edge pan has four small feet.

At the top of the holder is a small Black Boy polishing a shoe. The overall height is 13 and this American Boot Scrape retains its original iron surface.
