1978 Gene Simmons Dodge The Blood TYPE 1 Original Photo by Macoska KISS

For Sale is an incredible 1978 TYPE 1 Original Photo of Gene Simmons, lead singer of Kiss. Without makeup Simmons is a soft spoken intellectual man that everyone gravitates too. With his "Black Bolt" war paint he becomes "The Demon" who was known for his antics of fire-breathing and blood spitting.

Gene is captured here trying to spit blood at the photographers while performing in Cleveland on the Love Gun Tour. Gene had just finished producing a demo for Van Halen before this tour but was getting no interest from record labels so they decided to release the band. This tour was promoting their Love Gun album which became the band's first Top 5 album to hit the Top 200 and easily going platinum. This photo was taken by Janet Macoska who was one of my favorite rock photographers.

Her work has been idolized by photo collectors over the last 40 years. This photo was taken on January 8th 1978 and is Credited to Janet Macoska. The Size is 8 x 10 inches and is in MINT Condition.
