1930-1940's Brayton Laguna California Black Aunt Jemima Mammy Cookie Jar

Fabulous and hard to find Black Americana Mammy Cookie Jar. This is circa 1930's-40's, made by Brayton Laguna Pottery of California. She has a red dress, with a cream colored apron, hands on her hips, and a red bandanna in her hair. She has a blue, green, and yellow striped shirt. This rare and unusual piece has brown skin tones, and a sassy look.

The red dress and bandanna are all cold painted. This piece has no chips, cracks, nor breaks.

There is some wear to the tips of the red on the bandanna, and on the top rim of the red on the jar base. This does not show when the lid is on. Really great cookie jar in good condition.
