This is a VERY RARE original May 24, 1901 issue #136 of French magazine La Vie Illustre featuring Bicycle Racing Champion MAJOR TAYLOR on the cover for his famous race against Edmond Jacquelin. Major Taylor was only the second African American to become champion of the world in any sport (boxer George Dixon was the first).
