Vintage VERY RARE Black Americana Mammy Large Salt Pepper Shakers JAPAN. Vintage VERY RARE Black Americana Large Salt Shakers Made in Japan Mammy Chef. Here is an Outstanding, true authentic 1940s-1950s Black Americana salt and pepper shaker set of a Mammy/Maid and Cook/Chef that are marked Made in Japan'. This is a very rare set set and does not come up for sale very often.

The Mammy has such a well detailed face with big eyes and smile and wears a cream colored outfit with colorful details and she on a dark red hair kerchief on her head and she has her hands folded across her front. The Cook/Chef is so jovial with a big smile and he stands with hands in his pockets and wears blue striped pants and has on his chefs hat. Both shakers have tremendous details in their modeling and are very well done. Shakers are a very nice large size and measure approx. 4 1/2 inches tall and retain their cork stoppers (inside shakers) and are marked Made In JAPAN'.

These shakers are in Excellent condition with NO Chips, NO Cracks , tiny glaze ding on chefs hat, minimal age wear and crazing, and the usual Japan era modeling Mammy shaker has a rough line down her side and it appears to be from the modeling process.
