Here for your consideration is an incredibly fabulous, super rare, PRE-PROHIBITION ADVERTISING SIGN that is incised, PRODUCT OF PHILIP BLUM & CO. It says, Waiting for a Live One, in raised lettering on the bottom. Sharp, is also incised on the bottom.

This amazing sign features the raised image of a bar scene, in which four, bored BLACK MEN are standing at a bar, that is manned by a BLACK BARTENDER, while a dog sits quietly in the corner. This extraordinary, vintage advertising sign appears to be made of a very heavy wood, retains the original paint, measures a substantial 13 5/8 in length, 7 7/8 inches in height and has two hooks on the top to facilitate wall-hanging. This fabulous combination of Distillery / WHISKEY Advertising and Black Americana has some wear commensurate with its age and is in good condition!
