Original Paint Rare Magnificent Antique Cast Iron Lawn Jockey

Circa late 1800's - early 1900s. Original paint, faded but original. Nearly four feet tall, matter of fact stout cast iron lawn jockey.

Measures 47" tall, base 18 1/2" x 18 1/2" outside bolt pattern (16" X 16" at just the square parts), 22 1/2" at widest part (across arms, end to end) weight est. If necessary I can get an exact weight, this may take a few days. Notice at the bottom of the base, 4 cast iron bosses base is a one piece heavy casting, including these bosses, for securely bolting statute.

This is the early version with the 1 piece heavy cast base, later versions had either a 2 piece or 4 piece base. Many did not have the 4 bosses for bolting down, they only had a center hole for one bolt. This version is the heaviest version. No cracks or breaks, a perfect example of the early quality castings and craftsmanship. This is the Real Deal, by all standards is the earliest and highest quality one.

The original paint is quit weathered in some areas, there are some areas that have rust.
