Nice Vintage Black Americana Sassy Mammy Cookie Jar Signed Brayton 1940's

Offered here is a nice collectible cookie jar for collectors of Black Memorabilia or cookie jar collectors. This piece is a good example and is signed "Brayton" on the bottom of the jar. There is also a mark in pencil that looks like a loop.

The marks are incised into the clay. I do not know much about cookie jars but maybe this one is somewhat rare? Resembles a McCoy design but is not signed McCoy. The bottom is also unglazed. It stands 13 inches high and 8 inches across the bottom.

There are a few paint flecks on the jar probably happened with everyday use over the years. I have tried to show these as best I can in the photos.

Overall in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. This is from the estate of my friend who was 88 when she passed.
