Produced in The UK Circa 1920 BY The English Company HARPER who produced a range of Black American banks including THIS the ADULT Male, ("Jolly Black Man Bank") and Female ("Dinah") and the young black BOY called "Little Joe". This is the FIRST TYPE that Harper made with a CAST IRON base plate, later examples had a flat Steel base plate. Harper also produced a Key-Locking Steel base plate version at a higher cost.
