We sell these for their historical significance only. We do not condone racism on any level! This listing is for a set of Black Americana Pre Civil War Style Handcuffs with Turn Key. They are made of Heavy Iron Metal and have brass tags on them.

On one brass tag it reads NEGRO WOMAN OR CHILD ONLY. On the other tag, it reads PROPERTY OF GEORGETOWN COUNTY PLANTATION POLICE. Cuffs like these were fairly common in the Pre-Civil War Era to use for Runaway Slaves. The cuffs measure about 12 long overall.

The cuffs themselves each measure about 3" tall and 4" wide. Great Display Piece for anyone who loves to collect unusual Black Americana items or Civil War Style memorabilia. If the item is damaged I will replace it if I have more in stock.
