This doll was found wrapped up in a small box inside a steamer trunk on Long Island in a old Victorian house. She has all her original hand made close shoes and basket which are made from straw or tall grass leaves, the body is also stuffed with straw. She has a wonderful face made up of small pieces of fabric, the hair looks like wool, she is wearing a pair of metal buttons as earrings and a little green bead. In the pocket of her apron she has a handkerchief.

Printed on her under skirt is the word NAINSOOK? This doll has such great charm that words can not express, a real survivor.
