Authentic Cast Iron Lawn Jockey. Approx: 37" H, Stand 14" x 10" x 10". Approx: 60 lbs, Circa 1860's-1899. Tough to beat the look of this gem! He goes by different names, but "Jocko" is the most common.

This is the older model Jocko, pre 1900. We think a good deal of the paint is original or nearly original given the patina.

Lots of the paint is pealing. I think it would be a great interior display or on a covered porch to protect the paint. (Lantern shown in pictures is not included). Per the information we could find on this Lawn Jockey, we believe it was made from the 1860's to 1899. We would guess after 1870 is more likely, but cannot be exactly sure.

Collectors will know when they see it, so we took multiple pictures for your consideration. Jockey is in good shape, other than pealing paint on exterior and a few other minor items. The stand and interior have rust as shown in pictures and 2 metal connectors on bottom broke off many years back.

I think there may have been 4 metal holds instead of 2 originally, but the 2 work well. Some of the interior bolts have been replaced as well. We see no repairs or major defects. One in 100 look as nice, it just has the look!

There is a hole in the center of stand top that could be used for setting item in concrete with long rod & washers as some do or for wiring for lighting as is sometimes done as well.
