Robert Jackson of Spartanburg Co. I believe these bills to be the type 40 series and all are hand dated September 15 1862.

The back of each bill has the round stamp engraved with issued by B. Believe these bills were ever put into circulation. SC for two Slaves sentenced for burglary to be sent from the state, or be hung. Please see the pictures for the write up on the back of this bill. I have talked to a few historians who think the missing four bills may have been used to pay the auctioneer and for transportation. This collection in my opinion is both Museum worthy and in museum condition.
